24 Frames of change is an internship program dedicated to developing the minds of young talented filmmakers, and spreading messages of positive change in our community. It is a 9 week long program where students will meet for an hour once to twice a week to learn about each step of the process of filmmaking. During this time participants will choose a topic affecting their local community that they are passionate about.
Together the participants will create a PSA short film about their topic and how their community can improve. This program will help young students expand their portfolio as well as learn communication skills, filmmaking techniques, and collaboration. Students may earn up to 20 hours of community service after showing their film to 3 community partners or members. (IN ORDER TO RECEIVE HOURS STUDENTS MUST ATTEND MEETINGS, FINISH SHORT FILM AND SHOW IT 3 COMMUNITY MEMBERS OR PARTNERS.)
APPLICATIONS OPEN NOW. They will close June 5th, 11:59 EST.
Dates: June 8 - August 3
"I had an amazing experience with 24 Frames For Change. It was really nice to have a community of creative young people. 24 Frames for Change taught me about writing scripts, directing, acting, and so much more. Above all, it taught me how to work with likeminded people to create art. I made so many friends and learned so much. It was truly an amazing experience." -Hanna Mooney
"My experience on 24 Frames For Change helped me to understand and have more skills of communication with my community, it was a great experience work together and collaborate to build a better future." - Daniela
"My experience with 24 Frames For Change was inspiring. It was a space that pushed me beyond my comfort zone into creative and personal growth. By collaborating with filmmakers and storytellers across different levels and perspectives made every idea feel dynamic and constantly evolving. The energy in each meeting was full of genuine curiosity and laughter, which made the process both inspiring and deeply enjoyable. It showed me, in a hands-on way, how meaningful it is to create something alongside others. What began as a simple desire to strengthen my storytelling skills slowly turned into something I truly love. This experience not only deepened my creativity, film knowledge, and editing skills, but also gave me meaningful friendships and a new sense of confidence in my voice and ideas." - Fernanda Garcia
